Thursday’s Child and Minute Shorts Showcasing Rising TC Filmmakers at Film Festival in New York

Next Thursday, September 5th, Thursday’s Child and short film platform Minute Shorts will showcase 24 rising filmmakers as part of our Points of View one-day film festival.

Curated by Thursday’s Child and Minute Shorts, the night will screen a range of short films reminding us of the beauty of differing perspectives.

The night will bring together some of the world’s top short filmmakers—including critically-acclaimed MC and rapper Skepta and coveted music producer-turned-filmmaker TRAKGIRL— to celebrate our global community, and highlight the importance of respecting, understanding, and engaging with different viewpoints.

Whether through the lens of a documentary, a narrative, or an experimental short, the films will consider how we can bridge gaps between communities, foster empathy, and inspire dialogue about the myriad ways people experience and interpret their realities.

Participating filmmakers include: Adam Jason Cohen, Edem Wornoo, Eileen Yoon, Ella Ezeike, Hector Dockrill, Dwight Okechukwu & Skepta, Jared M. Royal, Maya Cozier, Maryam Mir, Ola Adediji, Patrick Taylor, Sergio Pontier, Spencer MacDonald, TRAKGIRL.

Doors open at 6pm, film screenings from 6:30pm, panel talk from 8:45pm, afterparty from 9:15pm until late.
