Simrah Farrukh

Simrah Farrukh is an American-Pakistani photographer based in the Oakland and San Francisco area. With an artful lens, her work blends together a palette of belonging, community and softness. Recognised by VICE as “a photographer putting South Asian identity under the spotlight”, a large body of her work is dedicated to just that. Her work goes beyond her own community and unveils the intimate truths of other misrepresented communities.

Simrah is available globally for campaigns, editorials, feature collaborations and gallery submissions. Some of her clients include Kotn, Our Place, Hypebae, The New York Times and VSCO. Her first solo show was in 2019 which was titled The Brown Gaze.
