Safeen James

Safeen James is a London based Filmmaker and Photographer that focuses on capturing cultural experiences. She is drawn to nostalgic stories connected to cultural identity and is eager to instigate a form of awakening about one’s place in their community.

Her most recent short film with connecting themes, was nominated for best documentary at the BFI Future Film Festival. Safeen is also a sneakers and fashion lover and continues to explore this angle through work with the likes of Dr Martens, Puma, Sports Direct and Nike. Safeen is available globally for campaigns, photo shoots, short films and workshops.
