Loona Riia

Loona Riia, born and raised in Post Soviet Tallinn, Estonia, is a London-based filmmaker, photographer, and digital artist. She studied film at Arts University Bournemouth and refined her craft after graduation as a camera operator and editor at Rankin.

Her work is distinguished by its versatility and responsiveness to her subjects, often incorporating a mixed media, run and gun feel that allows her to capture moments with spontaneity and authenticity. Loona’s creative process is inspired by people-watching, drawing on everyday human moments and the absurdity of life.
