Francis Augusto is an Angolan-born photographer and director whose practice explores the human experience through an observational approach to image-making.

Drawing from his social theory background and upbringing as an asylum seeker, he operates at the intersection of social research, documentary, and art practice.

Augusto’s work explores the themes of self, mundanity, and interaction, inviting the viewer into the frame. His work has won him Portrait of Britain and gained commissions for prestigious brands, such as Fuji, Nike, and Bloomberg.
