Alexander Cody Nguyen

Alexander Cody Nguyen is a LA based filmmaker and photographer working across many genres and mediums to explore and counter the Western gaze on Asian beauty and its place in America – one that is fetishised, held as a model minority, and expected to be subservient. He challenges these stereotypes by providing an alternative lens that intimately reclaims and redefines the independent and boundless beauty and artistry of our Asian American community.

Some of his clients include Nike, Burberry, adidas, Ray Ban, Meta, Reebok, Tommy Hilfiger, Apple Music, The Webster, and Topicals. He has worked on editorials with i-D, W Mag, Dazed, GQ, CR Fashion Book, V Mag, the New York Times, as well as with people such as Kevin Hart, Phoebe Bridgers, J. Balvin, Alicia Keys, KeKe Palmer, and Bad Bunny.
